The Leonardo da Vinci – TOI proposal "Work Harmony -  Organizational Model and Methodology for Promoting the Conciliation of Worker’s Professional and Personal Lives in Enterprise"was  aimed at adapting and transferring the results achieved by the IMPLANTA project, which was developed in Spain in the framework of the EQUAL programme – axis 4 “Equal Opportunities” from 2005 to 2008.

The main goal of the Implanta Good Practice was the creation, testing and implementation of “new organizational models” of work and social structures favouring work-life balance for women, taking into account their private and family life needs to develop work/family reconciliation policies.

By adapting the instruments and methodologies of the original good practice to the contexts of the Partner Countries (Italy, Spain, Austria, Belgium and Ireland), Work Harmony aims at providing trainers and management consultants with training/information/consultancy tools in order to support companies willing to improve or to start implementing reconciliation policies within their production framework.

The project is targeted at two different types of beneficiaries:

          Direct Beneficiaries

Trainers

Management consultants

Vocational Training System Operators

Employers’ Associations

Subjects supporting entrepreneurs

           Indirect Beneficiaries

Male/Female entrepreneurs

The main goals of Work Harmony are:

- Providing trainers and management consultants with instruments and methodologies aimed at supporting or implementing work/family reconciliation policies in enterprise.

- Contributing to a sustainable economic growth, by encouraging the implementation of work flexibility policies that favour work/life balance for male and female workers.

The activities envisaged by the project are the following:

- analysis of the different national contexts (Italy, Spain, Ireland, Belgium, Austria) where the good practice will be transferred (WLB regulations, best practices…);

-mapping of the existing reconciliation policies in each partner country;

-adjustment and adaptation of the IMPLANTA model;

-needs analysis of organizations, companies, firms, etc. for the implementation of work organization provisions contributing to work-life balance.

-development of training/consultancy tools for management trainers/consultants suitable for both distance and face-to-face modes.

-creation of an e-learning platform from the project website www.workharmony.eu

-organization of training seminars for trainers and consultants aimed at transferring the IMPLANTA training and consultancy tools --> transfer of innovation to all the Project Partner Countries.

-inclusion of the adapted products in the education and training provision of the agencies, the partnership bodies, and the associations and entities belonging to the partners’ networks, dissemination and valorization of the project outcomes.

Work Harmony had a 24 months duration, from 1 October 2011 to 30 September 2013.
